Obituary of Maria Theresa Young

Maria Theresa Young (nee Vitacco) Age 82, of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully Wednesday morning December 18, 2019 at the Oakton Pavilion in Des Plaines, IL. She was born October 30, 1937 to the late Genevieve (nee Robinson) and Anthony Vitacco in Chicago where she resided all of her life. Surviving are her sisters, Sue (Ron) Bielech, Diane (Gary) Camilieri, Lisa Kaihara, Barbara (Stephen) Young; sister-in-law, Sharon Clark; brother-in-law, Thomas Buffum, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Carol Buffum and Lela Robertson; and one brother, Johnny Clark. Maria just recently retired from JS Paluch after over 20 years of service. She enjoyed crafting and an occasional productive visit to the casino. She will be remembered for her ability to express herself well and to call it “as she saw it!” All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL from 11:00 a.m. until a Memorial Service begins at 12:30 p.m. As it was Maria’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded and interment of her urn will take place at a later date.
