I would sometimes hear the roar of the Ferrari coming down Mound road when I lived there in the 1990s and stopped by his garage a few times to watch him tinker on a car.
You lived life to the fullest but gone too soon.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Bill's passing. May I extend my deepest sympathies to Carolann and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss. May Peace be with you as you walk through this difficult time.
Carolann, Family, Friends, Ferraris, Music, Motorcycles, Corvettes, Trains, Turbochargers, and a bunch of others ... these are who and what Bill loved.
I remember "The Hunt" at EMD where Bill and I would walk the whole plant looking for turbocharger parts as they made their way around teardown/Inspection/rebuild during a warranty program.
... the autocrosses and getting a ride in the '67 Big Block Corvette. ... nights in the garage fixing one thing or another on my car (Bills's were always perfect). ... letting me drive the Testa Rossa. ... Pinch over crushed ice. The list goes on.
Though it has been a while - I was honored to be in his circle of friends.

Please except our sincere heartfelt condolences. Our apologies for not being able to attend the memorial services as we just drove to southern Florida. No one ever had a better friend than Bill. No matter how busy he was, he always found time to talk with a friend. No request or favor was ever denied, with absolutely no conditions or expectations. He was a multi talented brilliant person and one of the kindest souls I have ever encountered. I am secure in the knowledge that I am a much better person for knowing Bill. Rest In Peace my friend, you made this world a much better place.
