Obituary of Jesse R. Becerra

Age 66, of Minooka, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Jesse was born in Mexico and he was raised in Chicago, residing in Minooka for the past 15 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Jesse was a retired Plant Manager for Henkel Corp in Plainfield, IL. He is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Minooka and the VFW.

Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Renee (nee Mosqueda) Becerra of Minooka; four children, Cory Becerra of Chicago, Christina (Ruben) Rodriguez, Luke A. (Eva) Becerra and Lena M. Becerra of Minooka; three grandchildren, Chloe Rodriguez, Luke Becerra Jr. and Carmen Becerra; his mother-in-law, Rachel (the late Paul) Mosqueda; nine siblings, Dolores (Robert), Joseph (Mary), Victor (Linda), Arthur (Karen), Guadalupe (Francisco), Frank (Sandy) and Miguel. Numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Heliodoro and Maria (nee Alvarez) Becerra; one sister, Martha, and one brother, Angel.

Visitation for Jesse R. Becerra will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 (at Deerpath Dr.), Morris, IL, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel and then to St. Mary Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary’s St., Minooka, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
