Obituary of Joan T. David Prim

Joan T. David Prim, (nee Crawford), age 84, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020 at Central DuPage Hospital in
Winfield,Il.

Born October 13, 1935 in Chicago, the daughter of Arthur William and Eva Marie (Gadbois) Crawford, she married William P. David who preceded her in death in 1970. She later married John J. Prim, Jr., and he died March 5th, 2016. Her brother, Daniel Crawford, also preceded her in death in 2015.

Joan was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be remembered for her kind heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. She enjoyed singing and shared her musical talents with the Sweet Adelines and the Joliet Junior College Chorale. She enjoyed golf, big band music, spending time with family and friends. Joan was also very generous in her support of many charities and organizations.

She is survived by her loving son, William P. David, II, of Schaumburg; her devoted grandson, William P. (Anna) David, III; and her adoring great-grandchildren, Noah, Luca and Abigail David. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth (the late Pares) Mehta; her brother, Raymond (Arlene) Crawford; her step-children, John J. (Debra) Prim and Carol Ann Prim; step-grandson, Sean Michael Prim, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Joan David Prim, originally scheduled for March 27, 2020 have been postponed and will be announced here when rescheduled.
