My condolences to the family on the passing of Lois. I was fortunate to have Lois in my group at Will County Station from December 1999 until she retired. Lois always spoke proudly of her family and trips to Las Vegas. Her job had a deadline every two weeks for employees to get paid and the deadline was always met. Your mom and grandma was a great person.

I worked and car-pooled with Lois to Braidwood in the 80s and 90s, I never met a harder worker. She was a good 20 years older than most of us, and was a mentor and a model for how to overcome adversity and persist thru hard times. She always put her family first. We had many great laughs over the years, among them was the time she locked her car with the keys inside while it was running, and she didn’t have a spare on her. Raymond to the rescue! Heaven has gained another angel!
Please accept my sympathy upon the loss of your mom and grandma. I will miss my old friend.

I am so deeply sorry to hear of LoisAnn’s passing. I had the honor of working for her through Visiting Angels for over five years and she was an amazing woman filled with compassion and wisdom. She had quite a sense of humor and she taught me so much through her interesting stories and life experiences. LoisAnn was one of the kindest women I have ever met. She walked with integrity and loved her family so much. I will never forget her love and knowledge of her flowers. She enjoyed building projects and woodworking. I looked at a box with a zillion pieces to assemble a project and it was not a challenge at all for her. She was amazing. She enjoyed hearing about and then sharing her grandson’s accomplishments and knowing the fine men into which they were growing. She had a beautiful way with people & I am honored to have called her friend. May God give you all comfort. My thoughts & prayers are with you all, Sherry, Greg, Mike, Shami & sons, Dan, Judy, Gail, Bob and all your families . She was so proud of you all. Rest In Peace, LoisAnn. A life well lived. Sincerely, Angie Talbott-Glover ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear about this. I carpooled with Lois when we both worked at Braidwood station. We all met at Stone City on Rt 53. We had a lot of laughs. Lois invited me to her house for dinner one time. We lost touch after I left Braidwood. We ran in to each other several years ago at the Menards on Weber Rd and we talked for a bit. May you all find strength and peace. Lois was a very kind and nice person. God bless your family
