My deepest sympathy to the Ditsch family. I spent many softball games on the field with Jack all over the place. From the World of Music, Burla Construction, to the F.O.P. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Jack was a great cousin. I have so many fond memories of being with Jack at Gramma and Grampa's house over the years. I remember Jack telling people, when asked "what is your name?", at about the age of 3 or 4, "My name is Jack John Raymond Ditsch!" It was so cute... and he always said it with an exclamation mark at the end! He was proud of his name and really liked it as well... not all kids do. I remember Jack playing in Little League at St. Joe's Park. Jack was a very good baseball player. I remember Jack playing softball with my brother, John Postel, as young adults. Jack was always protective of his younger brothers... unless he was the one giving them a hard time! Fast-forward many years... and I saw Jack as the proud uncle to his nieces and nephews and then as and proud and fun-loving great-uncle to his great-nieces and great-nephews... he relished those roles! He was a great-big-teddy-bear! Whenever I saw Jack, he always gave me a great-big-bear-hug... and it was sincere! What a guy! We miss you, Jack, and know that you are with God... and your dad, Uncle Ray, Gramma and Grampa Postelanczyk, your cousin, John Postel, your Ditsch grandparents... and oh-so-many other relatives and friends. You're having a great time and laughing with everyone!
May your mom, Aunt Mary, your brothers Bob, Terry and Tom, your sister-in-law, Sue, your nieces and nephews and your great-nieces and great-nephews know that you were loved by many and that you will be missed by many. Until we meet again, Jack!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, Jack's family, on his death. He was always a kind friend to me. So many memories of Jack from first to eighth grade at St. Ray's bring me laughter! My reconnection in college at WIU with Jack and Bob also brings back many fond memories and smiles. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. He was indeed a great man.

Didn’t know ‘Jack’ we’ll, but thru his loving younger brother Terry & Sue. My memory is that of Jack’s gentle Spirit. It’s almost always difficult to say farewell to an immediate family member. It’s very evident that thru Jack’s Christ Centered Life he left a very strong impression- one that is always good. May your entire Family find comfort thru this difficult time with the support if each other and loving friends! May Jack await you in Restful Light Filled Heaven!

Jack was my pledge brother and Frater for Life with TKE fraternity at Western Illinois University. He was a gentle giant of a man who was loved by so many, yet feared for his strength and black belt. I smile now as Jack never had to display his talents "off the mat" and that was him. He was loyal and always positive and enjoyed a good laugh at many of our reunions over the years with our Western Alums and TKE Fraters.
He will be missed and happy that he found Jesus Christ and is with him forever.
God Bless Bob and the rest of the Ditsch family in this time of grief over such a big loss and know that you have my (and Kathie's) sincere condolences.
