"Wally"
Age 91. Peacefully Friday, June 11, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Chicago, a long time Bolingbrook resident and a Joliet resident for the past 10 years. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran, recipient of the Purple Heart and three Bronze Battle Stars. Former owner and operator of Sign Of All Kinds. He was also an accomplished artist. Member of American Legion Post #1080, Joliet. Past Commander of VFW Post #5917, Bolingbrook, 18th District Commander and Senior Vice Commander of the American Legion Post #735, Summit, Il.
Preceded by his first wife, Genevieve Fuchs; his second wife, Marie (nee Petrasek) Fuchs of 49 years; third wife, Mary Graves Fuchs; his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Survived by five daughters, Janice (Robert) Fleming and her family of Michigan. Patricia E. (James) Hood of Joliet, Jacqueline A. (William) Kibler of Joliet, Geri Nottke of Las Vegas and Jan (Gregg) Kulma of Downers Grove; grandchildren, Ken and Ray Hood, William S.(Kathy) Kibler, Brian (Michelle) Kibler, Luke and Jamie Kulma; great-grandchildren, Ashley, William R., Naomi, Ayla and Zoe; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Walter S. Fuchs will be Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation MONDAY MORNING 9:00 a.m. until time of services at:
