Marsha K. Rimsnider
(nee Joyce)

Marsha K. Rimsnider, age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, surrounded by the love of her family.  Marsha was born on August 8, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Theresa Joyce.  She grew up in Crete, Illinois; lived in Ohio for a few years and then spent 28 years in Naperville before downsizing and building their retirement home in Lockport three years ago.  She was a former parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Naperville and it was her devotion to the religion that she decided later in life received the holy sacrament of baptism at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet.

Masha retired from GMAC after 32 years of dedicated service in the Finance Department.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid golfer with the Village Greens Golf League along with other golf leagues. In her encore career, the love of the sport lead her to work at the Village Greens Golf Course in Woodridge.  Along with that, she also worked with Lily Cache Special Recreation Association (LCSRA).  With her generous heart, she was big supporter of Special Olympics and thoroughly enjoyed watching all of their events.  The most important job that she cherished the most was taking care of Gib.  She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother and cherished her canine companions.

Marsha is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Gilbert E. Rimsnider Jr.; her children,  Shannon (fiancé Jenn) Whitt; Michelle Whitt, and Gilbert Rimsnider, III; her grandchildren, Gilbert Rimsnider, IV and Peyton Rimsnider; her siblings, Judy (Marty) DenHartog, Karen (the late Warren) DenHartog, Terri  (Jerry) Schoonover, Randy (Tammy) Joyce, Robin (Mark) Biggs; and her in-laws, Cheryl (Joe) Zajac, Judy (Mike) Absher, Jeanie (Tom) Moore, Kirk Rimsnider, Bob (Laurie) Rimsnider, Mary (the late) Ward, Jeff (Shawnae) Rimsnider, and Jon Rimsnider.
