Obituary of Harry Patrick Gorman

Harry Patrick Gorman, age 56, late of Shorewood, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.

Born March 9, 1964, in Ft. Wayne Indiana, he was the son of Bernard Joseph and Ann (Gorman) Gorman.

Harry was a hard worker and was the owner and operator of his own construction company, Cedar Roof Guys.  He loved all sports, especially his Chicago Cubs.  A devoted family man, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  His favorite places were Shorewood, IL, his hometown, and Lexington, KY, where he loved visiting Keeneland Park.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his very giving personality. Harry was also very proud that his father, “Bumpy” had served his country as a member of the Honor Guard during his military service.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary H. (Daley) Gorman of Shorewood; four loving children, Ann Bridget (Jim Paul) Gorman, Joe (Mary Agnes) Gorman, Mike (Mary Grace) Gorman, and Harry Patrick (Cassie) Gorman; six beautiful grandchildren; two brothers, Pat (Kathy) Gorman and Mike (Jamie) Gorman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Joe Gorman.

Visitation for Harry P. Gorman will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8404 S. Cass Street, Darien, IL, and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon.  Visitation will begin with the recitation of the Rosary.  Interment will take place Saturday in New St. Joseph Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
