We are heart broken with the loss of Jaden. Watching him grow up, play baseball and football, and spend holidays together are moments we will cherish. I enjoyed many games of catch with Jaden over the years, and his talent on the field was evident. His joy for life, easy going nature, and bright smile will forever be missed.
Love from your uncle and cousins will always be with you!

I had the pleasure of teaching Jaden for 1/2 of 3rd grade. He was a fun loving, kind, spunky kid. As teachers we only get a year (or less) with our students, but we love them all as if they were our own. My heart is broken that one of my precious students is gone, and even more so for your family. You are in my prayers.

Memories from Grandma and Grandpa,
We have always enjoyed traveling near and far to see Jaden, and all of our grandkids, play sports. Spending weekends at baseball tournaments in the summer sunshine were always filled with your great spirit and talent. Over the years, he has played many positions on the football field, excelling on offense and defense. He was a joy to watch and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to see him play the games that he loved so frequently.
Thanks for the memories. We will always cherish them.
Love,
Grandma and Grandpa Sherman

Jaden was this bright eyed little boy, who seemed intensely aware of his surroundings. Our boys had grown up with Jaden’s older brothers, Justin and Jordan and so we didn’t see that much of him. When we came to visit his parents, he was quiet and respectful as he would look at us with an inquisitive intensity. It was remarkable.
Our lives took us to Georgia and most recently Florida, but we have always stayed in contact with Jeanette and Brent as we value their friendship. On our last visit to Illinois, Jeanette and Brent came over to my sisters house to see us. At his mothers behest Jaden came to meet us. Jeanette was so proud of him and wanted us to see what a fine young man he had become. Well he was. Handsome, engaging and charming, he met us and chatted with us at length, even though his friends were waiting. He made nice conversation and was genuinely interested in learning a bit about his parents friends. When he said he was pleased to have met us, it was genuine and kind. What a fine young man we thought. Of course his parents are proud of him. We are thankful for that moment.
Jaden, may the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May He lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Our peace and love to Jeanette, Brent, Justin and Jordan. Our love and prayers are with you.

Sherman Family,
I had the pleasure of being Jaden's Culinary Arts Teacher for only a year. Knowing him was like holding a beam of sunshine. I could always, even first hour, count on a smile and head nod from Jaden. He always had us laughing with some sort of joke or comment. I often had to catch myself not egging him on. He was the youngest in his kitchen group, I would ask about their college choices and how it was going with visits. I must have asked Jaden too many times because he would say to me, "Mrs Smith, I am a JUNIOR, you have to put up with me for one more year!" It became a joke and I would keep asking him. He would just give me that smile and head shake and say "MRRRSSSS SMITH!" He is an amazing young man who will be missed greatly. "If you only knew how much those little moments with you mattered to me" ~ 4Uquotesru.com
Hugs & Prayers for your family.

Mr. and Mrs. Sherman,
I can even begin to fathom the amount of sadness and brokeness you are feeling, no words can ever be enough. I am so sorry for this loss - Jaden and my daughter dated and cared for each other very much once, and I am so glad they remained friends. This event shook our town to the core, and your whole community mourns with you as we too lost a young soul with a promising future. I can only hope and pray the town's young ones can take something positive from this tragedy. May God surround you, your family, and all his friends with comfort and strength that surpasses all human understanding during this time. #PNHS #TIGERS

Jaden was our bright sunbeam of fun! We loved his sincerity, charm and the best sense of humor. He and Jacob loved each other, and we loved his presence and taking him to the Cubs with us. Jacob and Jaden were great teammates and even through Jacob’s heart problems, Jaden always had his hand on Jacob’s shoulder like a brother. He will be missed, but never forgotten, as his spirit and memories live deep in our hearts. We grieve with you, and our deepest condolences go out to Janette and Brent and family, at this time of needed comfort. God bless Jaden’s soul residing in heaven.

I have so many wonderful memories of Jaden and Gavin growing up. Jaden has a glow to him that I am sure is lighting up heaven. My hurt ached and I hope God will hold the Sherman family close in his loving arms as everyone tries to make sense of this. God bless...
A few memories that keep me smiling through watery eyes...
1. The famous car ride to The B1G Championship Game, where Jaden played Blank Space, on repeat, for 6.5 hrs, while Gavin and I would look at each other waiting for Jaden to say, "ok, I'm done.
2. Same trip, after the game, took the boys to Hooters where they would intentionally drop pillows, napkins, and other items, as we waited for the table, so girls would pick them up.
3. Gavin and Jaden, climbing up the cliffs at Buffalo State Park, and jumping off into the water.
I hope the memories that you have, Janette, Brent, Jordan, and Justin, with Jaden, will help keep his eternal glow in your hearts.
"Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
God bless you Jaden.
Love Andrew Baumker and the Baumker family.

Jaden and I were very close in middle school. Everyday we’d ride our bikes and pennyboards to McDonalds and eachothers houses for countless sleepovers. I loved him like a brother and he never failed to make me or anybody else laugh. He of all people would have done great things in this world. I miss him terribly. May heaven hold the faithful departed.
