Sue was a beautiful, brilliant, compassionate person and friend. And she was funny. I can't imagine this world without her. I loved our deep, intelligent conversations, her wisdom, and her advice. Becky and Michael. You know how much she loved you. So did we. She always spoke of you with such pride. I will miss her, too.

Our Dear Sue will be greatly missed. She was there for everyone and always there for a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand or just sharing her knowledge.
It was a true pleasure to know her, work with her or just to be in her company.
Sue was such a great patient advocate that always gave her time with sincere kindness. Sue was my coworker and great friend.
Condolences to her family and blessings. RIP our Dear Sue

Sue was my dear second cousin. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Sue and I always laughed about our extended family. Whenever we would get together, there were long goodbyes either in the driveway or by the car..or both..and then we would honk when we or they left..and lots of waving! She often came down to Champaign for tailgating and football games and even an occasional concert..Huey Lewis and the News comes to mind. Our family was known for hilarious "stories" and a whole lot of laughter. What great times we had when we were all together! She will be missed. Godspeed, dear Cousin!!

It is with a sad heart that I write this, knowing you have left this earth. You fought some tough battles over the years, and did so with grace and courage. Your accomplishments in life were many, your greatest being Becky and Michael, the love and joys of your life. You raised them as a single mom while putting yourself through school to become one of the best nurses I know . I remember my first day in CICU. You were my mentor, sharing your skills and knowledge, giving me the tools I needed to become a better nurse. Over time, a special relationship developed between colleagues: You,Bonnie,Julie,Pat,Karen, and Marie became a sisterhood, calling ourselves the YaYas. While we took different paths in our careers, we have remained close, standing by each other during good and difficult times. Always there to support and encourage each other. We have shared a lifetime of adventures through many wonderful trips that will be with us always . Our love and respect for each other has formed a bond that even death cannot separate. I believe it is the love in our hearts that unites us in this life and in the next. Through your love and kindness you have brought a light into this world that will always shine. I pray for peace and comfort for your family, especially to Becky and Michael during this most difficult time. I will miss you my friend. May all the love you gave surround you. Your job on earth is finished. You have certainly earned your wings. Fly high dear friend

I first met Sue in early 1990, March to be specific. I had just gone through my open heart surgery and Sue was going to be one of my cardiac rehab nurses. We hit it off from the very beginning. She made the rehab routine fun. But then again Sue made everything fun with her bubbling personality.
One think led to another and the next thing you know we were dating. The following years were a great time of going to all kinds of fun events.
Sue was one of the joys of my life and I will miss her very much. I know she is in a better place.

My deepest condolences to the Family. We lived for a short time across the street from the Cipolle’s in the 60’s, that’s where I first met Sue. Later our paths crossed again as we both worked as Nurses in the ICU at St Joseph Medical Center. It was truly a pleasure to work with Sue! Sue was a Great Nurse and Coworker! A lot memories from the 80’s. And Sue never let me forget that I used to walk to kindergarten with her brother Mark! Wishing you peace and comfort at this time.

I had the wonderful opportunity to know and work with Sue for many years. I had great admiration, respect, and love for her. She was very dedicated in the best of ways to people, her patients as a nurse. She loved her work as a Nurse and she was in all ways a 'metric' for what we believe nursing to be.
My condolences to her family and to all who knew her. She was that 'person' that all who knew her will be deeply saddened by her loss. Sad news indeed.
