Obituary of Dianne M. Richardson-Routt

Dianne Richardson-Routt
(nee Richmond)

Age 76, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, on August 27, 2020, at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield. She was born September 18, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Lucille (nee Protteau) Richmond. 

Dianne prided herself in the love she had for her grandchildren: always giving each one their turn being her favorite. Her family meant everything to her, going above and beyond for them is an understatement. Always trying to make others laugh and bring a smile to their faces. Dianne was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the Chicago Blackhawks and both Chicago baseball teams. Throughout the years of battling cancer, Dianne showed how strong she was time and time again, she was a fighter. Dianne was a strong woman full of wisdom that touched the heart of everyone she met. 

Dianne is survived by her daughter, Danelle (Chris Clemens) Richardson; grandchildren, Ashley (Julius Little) Walter, Bryan Clemens, and Joseph Richardson; brother, Michael (the late Rose) Richmond; ex-husband and good friend, Darrel Richardson; and her two furry babies, Rocky and Hagrid Michael. 
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Darren Richardson.

Funeral Services for Dianne Richardson-Routt were held privately by the family. Funeral arrangements have been handled under the care and coordination of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, IL. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to help with expenses would be appreciated.
