When I think of my early childhood memories, many with Ryan come to mind. He was so funny, always made me laugh, such a great guy. Our battles on the tennis courts of Crystal Lawns Elementary were something else. I’ll never forget those battles. I will always remember the great memories with Ryan. Rest easy my friend.

On one of our many remote fly in fishing trips in Canada, there are so many good memories. Here's just one of them... After a night of celebration, a bunch of us were sleeping in a cabin with no electricity and no phones. The co2 detector went off and Ryan was the only one who woke up. After several attempts to wake us up and to get us out, he just opened all the windows and doors and threw the detector outside because it wouldn't shut off. The rest of us slept through the whole thing!! Ryan got up on the roof and cleaned out the flue and restarted the pot belly stove before any of us even woke up. I'll always cherish that memory and all of our fishing trips together.

Kara was the first friend I made when my family moved to Plainfield in 1992. As a frequent visitor to the Hart house, I met Ryan. Through the years he drove us around, chased us out of his room, mocked our inability to tsp a keg (but talked us through it anyway), and always made me laugh. I haven’t seen him as much in our adult years but when I works see him, he would always ask about my family, kids, and how life was going for me. When I picture him, I can only see him with an ear to ear, mischievous grin. His loss is leaving a hole in so many lives that he touched. My heart breaks for Peggy, Kara, Tricia, Dylan, and Paige as you are forced to learn Joe to go on without him.

We all loved Ryan. I will always remember him taking Elizabeth trick or treating when she was 2 years old. Ryan was always a big brother to Beth and Jamie when they were all young We were lucky to have him in our lives and will remember him always with with fondness.
