Obituary of Michael J. Conroy

Michael J.”Mike” Conroy, age 78, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in Shorewood, IL.

Mike is survived by his children, Kelliene (William) Freiberg, Michael (Kelly) Conroy, and Kimberly (Alan) Shapiro; his grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, Justin and Kevin; his siblings, Dennis Conroy, Noralyn (Earl) Babula, and Patrick (Michele) Conroy.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen (Kay) O’Connor.

 Mike was very proud of his service in the U.S. Army and Air National Guard, was a loyal Local #134 Union electrician for many years, and also worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago. He enjoyed spending 33 years at the lake on weekends with his family and friends and loved to cheer on his Chicago White Sox and Green Bay Packers. 

The family held private services at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2020.
