Florencio Garcia
Age 87, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at home with his family by his side. Retired in 1984 from Corn Products in Argo, IL, with over 36 years of service. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and swimming. He also continued his education in home, electronics and TV repair.
Surviving are two daughters, Henrietta (Robert B.) Ford, and Joann (Daniel) Veristain Contreras; two sons, David Garcia, and Robert Garcia; his grandchildren, Sabrina (Ken) Ellena, Vanessa Ford, Beatrice Hernandez, Sonia Salazar, Liz Guerrero, Leticia Agurrie, Tom Wilabey, and Edgar Lupian; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa Hernandez Garcia and Marguerita Garcia; one brother, Enrique Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his loving wife, Emma (Delgado) Garcia; parents, Florencio and Henrietta (Martinez) Garcia; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Florencio Garcia will be Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ransom, IL. Visitation Tuesday, 2-9 p.m. at:
