I knew Larry because his former wife was my geography teacher at what was Oswego Jr. High in 1972-73. They actually used to live right up the street from me and I used to call all the time when I had questions about assignments. I'm sure I became a pain in his side from all my phone calls to his wife, but thankfully he was a gentleman and if he had any issues, he never expressed them to this then young, socially awkward teenager. Larry, thank you for being kind to me and I'm sure all the other students who used to call either one of you with questions or problems back in the day, it was because of people like you that I also got into teaching, albeit briefly. My condolences to the family during this time.

My sister Blanche and I have known Larry most of our lives and have always loved him.
Larry was certainly my best friend, always. I loved him and his family, especially his great parents. The rest of the family was likewise, more than good friends. Lawrence and I formed a lasting friendship through High School and WWII and into our respective careers. I cannot offer enough sympathy to his family for the passing of this very special man. I know and you know that Larry is with Jesus. God bless the very sad Nonnie Familya friends.
With great sadness, Fly High 'Ole Buddy'.

I would like to offer my sympathy on the passing of your father, and our friend, Larry Nonnie. Larry was a longtime friend of my mother and father, Shirley and, the late Joe Talarico. I took my mom to the Timbers to visit Larry, when she was torn about moving into assisted living. He was a great help. He was a wonderful friend, now at peace with your mother. RIP Larry
