Obituary of Anna C. Tollinchi

Anna C. Tollinchi passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at her home in Joliet, surrounded by the love of her family.  Anna was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Eladio and Maria de los Angeles (nee Vega) Vera. 

Anna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Angel Tollinchi; her two daughters, Shirley Tollinchi and Lola (George) Merikas; grandchildren, Jacqui (Will) Dunn, Jennifer Eisner, Axel Castellanos Jr, Erik Eisner, Samantha Castellanos, Steven Grady, Angelo Grady, Anna Merikas, and Gus Merikas; six great-grandchildren, William, Santino, Ethan, Gisele, Leo and Luna; four siblings, Tato, Lucy, Monin, Yolanda; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Angelo; and sister, Teri.

Visitation for Anna C. Tollinchi will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. In accordance with the Illinois guidelines, a 25 person capacity will be followed.  Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.  As it was her request, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  Funeral Services will be held privately by the family.
