Obituary of Charles E. Reinhart, Jr.
Age 66, of Joliet, IL passed peacefully at home Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was born in Berwyn, IL May 23, 1954 to the late Myrtle (nee Schuller) and Charles Reinhart, Sr. He was raised in Hillside, a graduate of Proviso West High School.
He married Denise B. (nee Homyak) on April 27, 1990.
In addition to his beloved wife of 30 years, Charlie is also survived by his son, Michael (Amanda) Reinhart; daughter, Amber Reinhart (Julian Lindo); grandchildren, Cassandra, Mila and Isaac; sisters, Donna Reinhart, Charlene Reinhart and Della (Dick) Bend; brother, Richard (Barbara) Reinhart and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Roberta Vickers and one brother, Edward Reinhart.
Charlie was a trailer mechanic by trade with a focus on the refrigeration units. He also enjoyed his “retirement” job as a transporter for Plainfield Township. A motorcycle enthusiast, he also had a great appreciation for the majesty and beauty of eagles in flight.
He will be remembered fondly as a good father and papa who was easy going and great to be around.
Visitation for Charlie will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Facemasks are required, social distancing and capacity restrictions will be followed. Cremation rites will be accorded.
