Clyde A. Peterson
Clyde A. Peterson, age 93, late of Joliet, and a resident of Lockport for many years, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Rock Run Memory Care.
He was born on October 23, 1927, in Dwight, IL, the son of the late Clyde Henry and Ruth (Bowers) Peterson. He married the love of his life, Norma H. Peterson, and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2009.
Clyde was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served a second enlistment with the United States Air Force. He worked for the railroad for a number of years but spent most of his working life as a carpenter. He had many interests but especially enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his brothers, Lloyd (and Mickie) Peterson, and James (and Sharon) Peterson; one sister, Patsy (and Marcus) Durando; a daughter, Lynn Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services for Clyde A. Peterson will be held privately by the family at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL, where he will be laid to rest with his late, wife Norma. Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force.
