Obituary of Josephine Lopez

Age 86, of Plainfield, IL passed peacefully at home Thursday, November 19, 2020.  She was born March 19, 1934, to the late Vicenta (nee Orozco) and Remedios Lopez in Joliet and had resided in this area her entire life.

She attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from Providence Catholic High School.  Josephine retired from St. Joseph Medical Center in 2001 after serving for over 34 years as an Admitting Clerk.

She is the beloved sister of Mary T. Lopez and dear sister-in-law of Esther (late Martin) Lopez;  a loving and devoted aunt to several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Lopez, Angeline Orozco, and Valentina Zama; three brothers, Martin, Jesse, and Joseph Lopez.

A private visitation will be held for her family Tuesday morning November 24, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.  Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
