Obituary of Susan Gibson

Gibson, Susan C. (nee Shaw) Age 56, of Ottawa, IL and formerly of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 with her loving family at her side. Born in Joliet on February 12, 1956. Attended Joliet East High School. Former employee of Kinn-Shaw Gifts and Lawn Decor, and Ray Kinney Motors, Inc. in Joliet. Survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard Gibson; daughter, Jennifer (Myron) Lesley; son, Richard (Brenda) Gibson; grandchildren Ashley and Tiara Gaines, James, Brendan and Richard Gibson, Myron, Tyrell, Jayden and Jamal Lesley; great-grandchildren, Shaelynn Fuller and Pierre Powell; three sisters, Dorothy (Ronald) Fairbairn, Cheryl Shaw and Peggy (Fred) Church; father-in-law, Edwin Gibson; sisters-in-law, Tami (Mike) Lyday and Wendy (Mike) Stirewalt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dogs, Cinnamon and Buttercup. Susie's greatest joy were her eleven grandchildren, she loved spending time with them as much as possible. She also enjoyed playing games and facebooking friends on her computer. She loved going to camp and spending time with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Raymond Shaw; grandparents, Lillian and Samuel Thompson; and James and Ann Shaw; aunt, Carol Talley; mother-in-law, Emma Gibson; and brother-in-law, James Gibson. Funeral Services for Sue will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
