Rita Marie Luzbatek, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Joliet Area Community Hospice surrounded by the love of her sons.  Rita was born and raised in Joliet, IL on October 31, 1940, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rita (nee Scheidt).  She was a graduate of Joliet Central High School and a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous organizations including Bingo night for several years. Rita was a devoted School Bus Driver for Lockport School District 205, retiring in 2012, after more than 30 dedicated years. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

Rita is survived by her two sons, John Luzbatek of Joliet and Robert Luzbatek of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Brittney (Jeremy Poorman) Luzbatek and Anthony Luzbatek. She is also survived by several cousins.

She is preceded by her parents; and her brother, Leonard Venturo.

Funeral Services for Rita Marie Luzabetk will be held privately by the family and interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
