Carmen Muniz-Ramos

Age 78, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at her late residence.  She was born in Puerto Rico and resided in Plainfield for the past 7 years.  Carmen was the matriarch of her family and took great pride in caring for her loved ones.

 She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Acevedo of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Alexandra (Ricardo Garcia) Lugo of Joliet and Gabriel (Taylor) Lugo of El Paso, TX; five great-grandchildren, Adriel, Xavier, Aliyah, Adrian, and Christian; her brother, Hector Muniz of Puerto Rico; nieces and nephews, whom she raised, Carmen Eliza Haddock, Paul Haddock, and Fernando Delgado; her devoted caregiver, Emily Muniz.

Carmen was preceded by her parents; her brother, Neftali Muniz; her sister, Elizabeth Muniz.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services for Carmen will be held privately by the family.
