Edward Joseph Kowalsky

Age 55, of Joliet, IL, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 18, 2020 at home. Born on July 10, 1965 to Jean (nee Floramo) and the late Edward J. Kowalsky Sr., Ed was raised in Chicago and was a proud graduate of St. Rita High School with the class of 1983.

He is the beloved husband to Dale (nee Bevis) Kowalsky; loving father to Megan Kowalsky; cherished son of Jean McNamara; dear brother to Christopher (Janette) Kowalsky and James (Sarah) McNamara; proud uncle of four. 

Ed was employed for over 28 years with Exelon Corporation at the Dresden Nuclear Plant near Morris, IL.  A die-hard Chicago sports fan, especially during football season, you could often find him shouting at the TV on game days.

Visitation for Ed will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. In accordance with Illinois guidelines, capacity limits of 10 people will be followed and social distancing will be observed. Graveside committal services will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ed’s name can be made to the donors favorite charity.
