Alex Castellanos

Obituary of Alex Anthony Castellanos

Alex Anthony Castellanos, age 25, of Shorewood, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 18, 2020.

Alex was born June 29, 1995 in Chicago, was a graduate of Joliet Township West High School, Class of 2013, and attended Joliet Junior College.

Alex was a loving and caring son, brother, grandson, and nephew whose accomplishments made his parents very proud.  Life challenges all young persons, but Alex had a determination and a desire to succeed that allowed him to accomplish much in his 25 years.  He was creative and full of exciting ideas and plans.  He had a passion for art and music, and was a self-taught musician, composer and performer.  Had life given him more time, he would have achieved much and he would have been a highly successful entrepreneur.  Last but not least, he enjoyed eating a variety of different foods, he loved the Chicago White Sox, and he loved his family.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Scott and Stacey (Castellanos) Mallo of Shorewood, one brother, Aaron Mallo; one sister, Jennalise Mallo; his grandparents, Alice Castellanos, Javier Esquivel, Rosemarie (Clint) Johnson, and Richard Mallo; his aunts and uncles, Marisa (Manuel) Villarreal, Victoria (Ruben) Esparza, Jennifer Esquivel, Javier Esquivel, Jr., Steven (Rosemary) Mallo, and Brett (Leslie) Mallo; many cousins; and the Arteaga family.
