Carolyn Dorothy Schmidt
(nee Krueger)

Carolyn Dorothy Schmidt, age 83, of Morris, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab.  She was born in Chicago, IL, on May 30, 1937, to the union of the late William and Alice (nee Arndt) Krueger.  Carolyn was raised in the McKinley Park neighborhood of Chicago, where she was known as a "second Mom" to many neighborhood kids that she babysat over the years.  She was a talented silk screen-printer.  Carolyn moved to Morris six years ago to be near her family.

Carolyn is the beloved mother of Debbie (Jeff) Berry and Anita (Ron) Mc Farlane; loving grandmother of Matthew Olson and Phillip Kieser; dear sister of William "Bill" (Marcy) Krueger; faithful companion, Paul page, Sr.; and dear aunt of several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving dog, “Frank”. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Schmidt, and her parents.

Visitation for Carolyn Dorothy Schmidt will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 1201 W. Rt. 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris.  I In accordance with Illinois guidelines, 10 person capacity restrictions will be observed and facemasks, as well as distancing, will be followed. Inurnment at Bethania Cemetery in Justice will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431, would be appreciated.
