Obituary of Alex Glagola

Alex J. Glagola Age 77. Peacefully, Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Joliet, and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A U.S. Army veteran serving with the Armored Tank Division. A retired Master Mechanic, whose specialty was Volvo automobiles, but was employed at several local dealerships throughout his career. Alex enjoyed spending time with family and friends, also wood working and fishing were enjoyable. One of his greatest loves in life, however, was getting out on the open road on his Harley Davidson. Preceded by his parents, one brother and three sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Geraldine "Gerrie" Glagola of Shorewood; two sons, John (Kimberly) Glagola of St. Charles, IL and Jimmy M. Glagola of Shorewood; and two grandsons, Nicholas and Daniel Glagola. Nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Alex J. Glagola will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
