Obituary of Roy Allen Senffner
Roy A. Senffner
Age 78 of Joliet, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at his late residence. He was born in Joliet, the son of the late Anthony and Helen (Kozak) Senffner. Roy resided in the Pittsburgh, PA area from 1993-2003 when he returned to Joliet. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University in 1965. Roy retired from U.S. Steel in 2003 as a Railroad Signal Engineer following 38 years of service. He was a member of the Croatian Cultural Club, Association of American Railroads, American Railroad Engineering Association, Midwest and Eastern Signal Engineers, and TOPS Chapter #1646, Shorewood. Roy was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen (Legan) Senffner of Joliet; his son, Scott (Kim) Senffner of Minooka; two grandchildren, Cassandra (Fiance, Colton Martin) Senffner and Ryan Senffner; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Garland, Ryder, and Chelsea Martin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the Church of St. Jude, 2212 McDonough St., Joliet at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive all friends and relatives from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
