Obituary of Janice A. Staab

Janice A. Staab, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully at the age of 72, on January 18, 2021, at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center.  She was born in Joliet, IL on March 9, 1948, the daughter of the late J. Harley and Mary Anita (nee Carlos) Fitzgerald and stepfather, Frank Klipp.  Janice attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and was a graduate of Providence Catholic High School. She married her first and only love, Thomas A. Staab in 1970, and together they built a beautiful life together raising their three amazing children.

Janice enjoyed being in the kitchen and traveling to Disney World and Blue Harbor. She loved the ocean and spending time together with her family. Janice was the happiest in her role as wife, mom, and nana. Her love for her family was beyond measure.

Janice is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas A. Staab; two daughters, Corie Staab and Kendall (Jason) Stipp; one son, Brad (Kristina) Staab; five grandchildren, Ava, Ellery, and Harrison Stipp, and Owen and Lola Staab; and two sisters, Carole (Ben) Birsa and Maureen Switzer.

She is preceded by her parents; one precious grandson, Dylan Joseph Staab; and three brothers, William, Thomas, and Terrance Fitzgerald.

Janice’s wish was to be remembered for the role she played in your life and for you to have a hotdog from Babe’s or some wings from Buffalo Wild Wings and have a beer in her memory.

Funeral Services for Janice A.
