Obituary of Angela Gleason

Angela J. Gleason (nee Schmitz) Age 94. Passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Survived by her daughter, Colleen (late Joseph) Kovic of Crest Hill; grandson, Michael (Shari) Kovic; granddaughters, Kelly (Larry) Alt, and Kerry (Maj. Joseph) Frescura; great-grandmother of Patrick and Katie Kovic, Addison and Jack Alt, Joseph and Alex Frescura; also survived by one sister, Anna Mae (Edward) Wachter; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Gleason (1997); sons, Patrick and Dennis Gleason; her parents, Peter and Mary Schmitz; brothers, Matthias, Edward, Henry, John and Joseph Schmitz; sisters, Bernadette Van Gampler and Marie Newberry; and special son-in-law, Joseph Kovic. Angela had a strong devotion to her faith, and was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus. Her greatest joy in her life was her family, especially her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and watching them grow up. Funeral Services for Angela J. Gleason will be Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials in her name to St. Raymond School Endowment Fund or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
