Obituary of Anna Mae Lopez
Anna Mae Lopez, (nee Dragovan), age 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at West Suburban Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Joliet, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Mae (Jacklich) Dragovan, she was a lifetime area resident.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph J. Lopez (2017); her parents; sister, Marlene Dragovan; brother, Thomas Dragovan; and her husband’s family.
Dear sister of Mary Lou (late Robert) Farar, Martin (Doretta) Dragovan, Jr. and Robert (Mary) Dragovan; sister-in-law of Mary Lopez; and special aunt to Lisa Guzman. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation for Anna Mae Lopez will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet. Face masks will be required, social distancing will be practiced, and limitations on the number of persons in attendance will be in place.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 23, at 1:30 p.m., at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield. Fr. Karl Langsdorf, SPS, of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will officiate.
