Jessica Klossing

Obituary of Jessica M. Klossing

If we listen very closely, we can hear the rustle of Angel's wings and we know you are with us and we look up and say “Jessica darling I know that is you.”

A writer once wrote that “Life is a balance of holding and letting go.”

 We cannot let you go.

You live in our memories and hearts loving you forever.

You are Our Roses in December.

Jessica Maria Klossing age 28, born April 26 th, 1992 returned to Our Heavenly Father and Papa January 23 rd, 2021, a lifelong resident of Channahon and a graduate of Minooka High School.

Left to cherish her memory, her mother and biggest fan Gloria Cook-Richardson,(Step Dad Scott Richardson), Brother and her very first best friend in life, Alexander J. Klossing; Uncle Joseph N. Cook Jr. aka “her chair” Uncle Joe is who she was sitting on regardless if there were other options, ( Laurie Pillion), her special Uncle James T. Cook who she would so lovingly help care for; her devoted Grandmother, Mary Alice Cook who she shared so many moments of her life with and treasured with all her heart; loving Aunt Brenda Bean; “Auntie Becky” Rebecca Stephenson; childhood best friends, Lauren Whipple & Arianna Vasilakis, her newest family addition her puppy Benji the Morkie and her four-legged brother Kodi (Kodster).

Preceded in death, her favorite person in the world and most beloved Papa Joseph N. Cook Sr. infant brother Benjamin Nephi Cook-Klossing and her lovable Shih Tzu Coco.

Jessica loved so many things in life, her morning coffee, animals, especially dogs, star gazing, making lists…many lists...several lists!! dogs, make-up, she collected all the newest pallets and watch tutorials to keep up with the latest trend, she was very knowledgeable of skincare and was working on creating her own facial masks and scrubs. She worked as a Beauty Advisor for some time at Ulta, dogs, jigsaw puzzles, she would finish an entire puzzle in a day, playing mystery crime-solving games, journaling, dogs, reading, hiking and exploring the outdoors, preparing tea that her Grandma taught her the art of as a little girl when they would have tea parties together, dogs, she read her horoscope every day, she loved being by the ocean and had her own apartment in California near the beaches for a few years, she especially loved Monterey and recently was able to visit again, her favorite food is rice pudding, her signature scent is Daisy by Marc Jacobs, did I mention dogs.. any dog.. she LOVED DOGS. Jessica loved all genres of music she most loved acoustical and would search all her favorite songs to see if there was an acoustical version Jessica would spend hours listening to songs of the unknown artist to be the first to “discover” them. Jessica was deeply dedicated and loved the Immaculate Conception and prayed throughout the day, every single day. She wore her medal at all times or have it in her pocket and when she would forget it she would come back home to get it before continuing on with her day.

Jessica’s true passion was photography she took so many photos that will be treasured forever through that passion it allowed you to see the world through her eyes and what beautiful blue eyes she had, she found beauty in things we walk past without hesitation Jessica would take a moment to see the true beauty in all things. She was so creative, and it showed through her photography…little did she realize she was the most beautiful subject of all.

Jessica was beautiful, truly elegant a classic beauty but to Jessica, the most important beauty was internal beauty and that was obvious to those around her. She was caring, smart, reserved, brave, funny, quiet, patient, a great listener and Jessica was always very mindful of others feelings. As I read the many condolences, you are remembered by many things, but always included in those beautiful memories of those who love you is you were kind. With that, I share this,

“Be the things you loved most about the people who are gone.”

As Jessica’s Mother, I sit with painful tears of grief and devastation causing a veil between my eyes and the words I write of My Precious Daughter Jessica but in my mind. I am reminded that Jessica was a gift, a gift from God, from a God who thought I was worthy of having one of his most precious beautiful souls, and for that I am grateful. I will miss you forever my Jessica and anxiously await the day when I leave this earth to be with you again in the Paradise of the Heavens. I love you, my Sweet Baby Girl.
