Obituary of Lois A. Costabile

Lois A. Costabile, age 71, of Elmwood Park, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center, Joliet.

Born July 25, 1949, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (nee DeVito) Costabile, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

Lois is survived by her beloved sister, Rosemary Falbo; niece and nephew, Jacqueline Falbo and Anthony (Erin) Falbo: great-nephews, Finnigan and Leonardo Falbo; and many loving cousins.

Lois loved children and spent many years volunteering in pediatric hospitals with sick kids.

She enjoyed travel especially being in California on the ocean watching the dolphins. Lois was a huge Beetles and Paul McCartney fan and shared that passion with her nephew, Anthony.

Lois loved her family dearly and the best times were spent over a great meal and playing games. Her niece, Jackie, will forever remember her by the scar she received while playing a lively game of spoons!

The family would like to thank all the healthcare workers at Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center and Joliet Area Community Hospice, and a special thanks to St. Mary Immaculate in Plainfield.

Funeral services for Lois Ann Costabile will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to a children’s charity of your choice would be appreciated.
