Obituary of Lorraine R. Steffes
Lorraine Rose Steffes, age 91, of Morris, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 29, 2021 at home, with her loving family by her side.
Born January 28, 1930 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Rollin and Lena (Ferro) Kurth. She married the love of her life, Lloyd E. Steffes, and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his passing July 3, 2010. Her parents, and a son-in-law, Robert Ruffatti also preceded her in death.
Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who put home and family above everything else. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and also enjoyed bowling and western dancing, having been a member of The Boot Kickers.
Surviving are her devoted children, Sharon Ruffatti of Joliet, and David (Janice) Steffes of Morris; four grandchildren, Julie Ruffatti, Ryan Ruffatti, Michael (Jennifer) Steffes and Carrie (Lou) O’Donnell; and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Audrey, Evan, Quinton and Alena.
Funeral services for Lorraine Steffes are private and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Morris, is in charge of arrangements.
