Evelyn Paula Ales

“Paula” (nee Zola)

 

Age 71 of Minooka, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at her late residence following a lengthy illness and Covid-19.  Paula was born in Joliet, IL on April 4, 1949, the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (nee Funk) Zola.  Paula resided in Minooka for the past 35 years.  She met Henry Ales during her high school years at Lockport West High School and they married on June 11, 1966.  Paula was formerly employed by Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home as a CNA and part-time for the family business, Henry Ales Automotive Specialists.

 

Paula is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry Ales of Minooka; her children, Marley Ales Gentry of Kankakee and Jason Alan (Lisa, nee Wilky) Ales of Joliet; five grandchildren, Katlyn, Carson, Chase, Zachary and Brennaugh; five great-grandchildren, Kai, Collum, Gianni, Lilah and Ziva; several siblings also survive.

 

She is preceded by her son, Joshua Michael Ales (July 15, 1998); her parents and several siblings.


A Memorial Gathering for Evelyn Paula Ales will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Bible Church, 412 N.
