Obituary of Fernando Hernandez Sr.
Fernando Hernandez Sr.
Fernando Hernandez Sr, age 54, of Joliet, passed away from lung complications Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at RML Hospital in Hinsdale.
He was born December 22, 1966, in Banuelos, Guadalupe Zacatecas the eldest of 8 children of Rita (nee Martinez) and Francisco Hernandez. As a teenager, he emigrated to the United States to provide a better life for his family. He would later help numerous family members do the same.
A loving, passionate, and hardworking husband, father, and grandfather, from a young age he spent his entire life taking care of those around him. He helped so many people over the years, no matter the situation, willing to give the shirt off his own back if needed. Despite such a burden of responsibility, his passion for whatever he was doing was infectious. He was an avid soccer fan, his favorite team being Club America. He was a goofball, often dancing around, and was the life of the party. He will be remembered for always listening to music loudly and singing.
- Paty
He was preceded in death by his father Francisco (2020).
He is survived by his mother Rita (Martinez), beloved wife Patricia, children Fernando Hernandez Jr (Sarah), Angelica (Zach) Loucado, Jamison (Frank) Serna, Eduardo Hernandez (Angelina Rodriguez), and Fernando (Sara) Gonzalez; grandchildren: Reina, Gabriela, Luis, Lucas, Luna, and Frankie.
