Obituary of Betty Glossop

Glossop, Betty L. (nee Landreth) Age 80, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Cornerstone Hospice Villages, Lady Lake, FL after a short illness with cancer. Born February 8, 1932 in Louisville, IL. Graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1949, and a graduate of McCormick Business School. Employed at Argonne National Laboratories for 35 years as an Administrative Assistant. Following retirement, she received her CPA and was associated with Waddell & Reed as a Financial Planner for 15 years. She married Richard A. Glossop on September 2, 1951. He passed away January 11, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents, Clover and Lesta Landreth; sister, Vivian Blair; brothers, Merle and Ben. Survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Landreth of Joliet and Barbara Jean Six of Winchester, IL; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends in the Villages of Florida. Funeral Services for Betty L. Glossop will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the First Baptist Church - The Villages, 16985 S.E. 79th Clearview Ave., Lady Lake, FL 32162 would be appreciated.
