Linda F. Burton
(nee Townsend)
Age 64 of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital. She was born in Odessa, MO, the daughter of Richard and Roberta Townsend, residing in Joliet the past 17 years. Linda received her Bachelor’s Degree in music from Baker University of Baldwin City, KS. She had a lifelong love of music.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Lyndle Burton of Joliet; her daughter, Heidi (Steve) Cole of Porter, TX; three grandchildren, Hunter, Genevieve and Zane Cole; her mother, Roberta Edwards; three sisters, Kathryn (Greg) Loarie, Carolyn Sue Karpowicz and Joy Cook. A large extended family of nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Townsend; and daughter, Jennifer Burton (2000).
Visitation for Linda F. Burton will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. Capacity limits, face masks and social distancing will be observed.
