I am so sorry for your loss.
While I did not have the pleasure of knowing Stephen, I know his very kind, giving and gifted daughter Stephanie. She is a living testament to the special person her father was in life.
Rest in peace.

I’ve been so saddened by Steve’s passing. Our thoughts are with each of you. Every time I’ve thought of him these past weeks, I’ve been worried, upset, and thinking of each of you. And then somehow, the more I think about him - he still ends up making me smile even while I’m sad. It’s because I end up remembering his amazing sense of humor. He had the funniest, cleverest, wittiest comments and great timing for them. I can’t remember a time with him where he didn’t make me laugh out loud at some point. I’ll always have fond memories of him.
My condolences. I can’t imagine how difficult this is on each of you. I will miss him and I wish you peace.
Love,
Jeff, Erin, Evan , and Mackenzie

Oh my how I loved this fine young man. We shared a deep sorrow and became good friends. I was happy that he found a new love with Monica. I only met her twice but she seemed lovely, and actually resembled my sister Julie somewhat.
Reading of his passing brought back memories of what a good, kind and loving young man Steve was.

I have way too many great memories with Steve to try to list any. We were in grade school together at St. Mary’s School. But, more importantly, we had a 4-some of is kids trying to learn golf. We played about 3x/week all through the summers into High School. Steve’s parents, and the parents of the rest of us were all friends. All but my dad played golf together too!
Steve did have a unique sense of humor. He found some humor in things that most of us easily overlook. That, among other things, made Steve special.
Our lives went their separate ways for 45 years after high school, but we seemingly fell back into much the same routine interaction at our class reunion in 2019. Still was the same old Steve I knew as a kid.
Steve will be missed. Heaven gained another angel.
Prayers for healing mercies for his family and friends.

Wow, what a stand-up guy; family man in every respect ! Prayers to Stephen’s wife, family and friends. May he RIP.
I recall Stephen & Family when he visited his grandma in Oglesby on weekends. Later in life, he reacquainted with my sis (Diane Ratajczak) and her family in Joliet. What a small world but what a huge heart Stephen had — to reach out and touch so many. God Bless !
