I remember Pastor Borden as a wonderful, kind, friendly and patient man with a lovely smile. I also remember visiting the Bordens when I was in Gweru. Their home was always filled with much love and warmth and happiness.

We are remembering when Naomi reconnected with Jim, started corresponding and got a delightful sparkle in her eye when she asked us, "What would you think if I got married and moved to Africa again?" What a wonderful union of 17 years, happiness and companionship for both. We're thinking of you every day, and pray that your fond memories will help in the difficult days ahead. Love, Kay

We met pastor Jim in April 2008 when we were invited to Emmanuel fellowship by Phyllis. After 2 weeks of going to church we were involved in a terrible car accident. Pastor jim was there for us praying with us and for us. He helped us keep our faith up when we went through hardships and he celebrated with us when God opened doors for us that were unexplainable. He was a God loving man and his faith was unshakeable. Our whole family loved him and will miss him. Fly high my pastor until we meet again.
Ernest, Linda and the boys.
