Obituary of Lois J. Wyeth

Lois J. Wyeth
(nee Morrison)

Lois J. Wyeth, age 88, of Morris, IL and formerly of Batavia and Ottawa, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Park Pointe Rehab and Healthcare Center. Lois was born October 23, 1932, to the late Gladys and Peter Morrison in Aurora, IL where she was raised and educated, and a graduate of East Aurora High School.

A devoted Christian, Lois attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Aurora with many beloved family and friends. She was very active in her church as a Deacon and a part of the Mary Martha Circle, Bible School, Communion, the Mother-Daughter Banquet, and Sunday School Teacher. She also attended Ottawa Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon, assisted with communion, and was a circle leader.

Lois was an accomplished seamstress.  She made her daughter’s wedding gown and wedding attendants gowns, men's suits, play costumes, and her grandchildren's Halloween costumes. She was also a skilled crafter, especially talented in knitting and card making. An excellent cook and baker, her dinner rolls were memorable and so appetizing. She loved to host elaborate dinner parties and oftentimes would be found at the beauty shop modeling newer hairstyles for the designers and clientele.

Lois was a member of the "Lois Club", PEO LB Chapter, the Hall School PTA, and the Morris Hospital Auxiliary.  She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and an avid card player.

She worked at The Fabric Center and Cohenour Upholstery, both in Morris, and was previously employed at Plum Landing Senior Living in Aurora.

Her family, whom she loved dearly, includes her son, Herb (Deb) Wyeth of Morris, IL; daughter, Pam (Doug) Bellm of Batavia, IL; grandchildren, Kelly (Don Humphreys) Wyeth and Aaron Wyeth both of Morris, Jacqueline (Max) Pierazzi of Chicago, IL, Ashley Bellm of Phoenix, AZ and Austin Bellm of Maywood, IL; great-grandchildren, Luca Pierazzi, whom her dementia has kept her from knowing; her sister, Shirley Rach of McComb, IL; the father of her children, Herb Wyeth, Jr.; brothers, Charles Wyeth of Aurora, IL, Vernell (Hugh) Wyeth of Yorkville, IL and Roy (Teresa) Wyeth of Aurora, IL. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
