Andrea V. Salazar

(nee Villanueva) 

Age 96, of Plainfield, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born in San Marcos, TX, and a Joliet area resident. Andrea was a parishioner and very active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Abel H. Salazar (1999); her parents, Elodio and Margarita (nee Aguirre) Villanueva; two grandsons, Vincent and Christopher Melendez; sisters, Theresa (There') Eschevarria, Hermalinda (Minga) Longorria; brothers, Pablo Villanueva, Alfonso (Poncho) Villanueva, Ladislado (Lilo) Villanueva, Juvencio (Juve) Villanueva, Luis (Kike) Villanueva and Elodio (Jr.)Villanueva. 

Beloved mother of James (Margo Preston) Salazar, Flora Jane (Frank Robles) Spitzer of Elgin, Alice Spillie of Rockdale, Cathy (John) Flores of Joliet, Jesse Salazar of Rockdale and Diane (Ethan) Uguccioni of Joliet; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 29; great-great-grandmother of 5; seven brothers, Pablo of San Marcos, TX, Alfonso of Nampa, ID, Luis (Alicia)  of Littlefield, TX, Ladislado of San Marcos, TX, Gollo of Fargo, ND, Jueve (Martha) of San Marcos, TX and Elodio Jr. (Theresa) Villanueva of Littlefield, TX; four sisters, Theresa Eschevarria of New Braunfields, TX, Hermalinda (Alberto) Longorria of Carrizo Springs, TX, Mary Patino of New Braunfels, TX and Margarete (John) Martinez of Littlefield, TX. 

As a result of Covid-19 restrictions, visitation and funeral services for Andrea V.
