Obituary of Kenneth J. Booster
Kenneth J. Booster, age 74, of Lockport, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center Joliet.
Ken was born November 4, 1946 in Versailles, IN to James and Odella (Fruchtnicht) Booster, where he was raised on their family farm. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and began his career with Case New Holland as a Structural Test Engineer where he worked for more than 40 years.
A loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather, he lived his life as a devout follower of Christ. An avid gardener who loved the outdoors, he remained a farm boy at heart. He loved tractors, fishing, and old westerns, and especially enjoyed bird watching. He will be remembered for his patience and steadfastness, and his calm and quiet personality.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Janet L. (Baldwin) Booster, whom he married on March 17, 1979. Also surviving are his loving children, Rebecca (Dan) Laib of Plainfield, Samuel Booster of Tucson, AZ, and Joel Booster of Los Angeles, CA; three adoring grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elsie and Ethan Laib; a dear sister, Janice (Nick) Minkler of Forest, VA; and several wonderful nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Gracie Joy Laib; one sister, Sally Davison; and a nephew, Eric Davison.
Visitation for Kenneth Booster will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, (at Essington Road), Joliet. Face masks and social distancing will be required, and casual attire is encouraged.

Interment in Plainfield Township Cemetery will be private.
