(nee Wolf)

Mary Ann Barton, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021.  Mary Ann was born on May 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Frederick and Theresa (nee Parthum) Wolf.  She was a lifelong resident of Joliet and a graduate of St. Francis High School.  

Mary Ann enjoyed winning Euchre tournaments with her friends and spending time with her family. Her sharp wit could bring an entire room to laughter. She loved to bake and had a sweet tooth to go with it. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, compassionate mother, and best friend to her four grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her two sons, John R. (Bernadine) Barton and James R. (Michelle) Barton; and her four grandchildren, Dr. Ellen Barton, Marian Barton, Dana Barton, and Andrew Barton.

She is preceded by her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond T. Barton; and her parents.

A Catholic Memorial Mass for Mary Ann Barton will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 W. North Street, Manhattan, IL.  Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
