Obituary of Constance S. Edwin
Constance (nee Hagen) Edwin, age 63, of Pontiac, IL., passed away peacefully, Monday, March 29, 2021, at home. She was born March 14, 1958, in Morris, IL. to the late Richard and Nancy Cleo (nee Stitt) Hagen. She also resided in the Plainfield and Joliet area. She attended Joliet Junior College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing.
Connie loved God and His people. She relished in the role of being the oldest of ten siblings, it came naturally. She enjoyed helping many patients over the years as a Dental Assistant and Registered Nurse as well as embracing her role as a stay at home Mom.
She loved to travel; a few favorite destinations being Canada, China, and Greece. Connie also had plans to visit Washington D.C. with political aspirations of running for Governor and President in the future.
Survived by her children, George, Matthew, and Rebeccah Edwin; grandsons, Grayson and Charles; siblings, Carol Greene, Nannette Hagen, Mariann (Chris) Byers, Edith (Dave) Lull, Ruth Martin, Audrey (Erwin) Mock, Christine (Michail) Manetas, Richard (Tracy) Hagen and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a great-niece Eve also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. P.A. Edwin; her parents, and one sister, April Hagen.
Visitation for Connie Edwin will be held Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris where all friends and relatives are invited to gather from 9:00 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m. Face masks are required, social distancing and capacity restrictions will be observed. Interment will follow in Ward Cemetery in Verona, IL.
