Obituary of Cynthia M. Brueckman

Cynthia M. Brueckman

(Nee Owens)

Cynthia M. Brueckman, age 67, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.  Cynthia was born on April 22, 1953, the daughter of the late John and Stephanie (nee Zagorski) Owens. She grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of Kennedy High School.  Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who she enjoyed doing puzzles with.  Her favorite time spent was her Friday night dinners with Ernie, the love of her life; they are now together forever.

She will be remembered as a dedicated and very hard worker who loved cooking and baking. Her toffee squares and pork chops will be missed. Cynthia loved being creative and designing the yard cards with Tracy for her business as well as doing her diamond art painting. She enjoyed her 60’s music, especially Elvis and Motown, and was a QVC addict who loved watching HGTV. She was always ready for a trip to the dollar store or the casino and when she wasn’t at the casino she could be found playing casino games on her phone. She also could play Briscola and Canasta all night long with her family.

Cynthia is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Kosek and Tracy (Timothy) Fallon; six grandchildren, Nick, Kyle, Brianna Kosek, and Hailey, Jaaden, and Presley Fallon; her siblings, Debra (Ken) Kozlowski; nephews, Tim (Tessa) Koslowski and Todd Kozlowski; and her nieces, Wendy (Dominic) Lostumbo and Laura (Bob) Kindsey.

She is preceded by her loving husband of 35 years, Ernest Brueckman; her parents; and her sister, Darlene Walaski.

A Memorial Gathering for Cynthia M. Brueckman will be held at a later date.
