Norma J. Metzler

Age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2021.  Born July 20, 1931 to the late Bernice and Clark O’Dell, she lived in the Joliet, IL area all of her life.

Surviving are her son, Michael (Marie) Nixon, step-son, Bill Nixon; grandson, Ian Nixon and granddaughter, Sade Nixon.

In addition to her parents, Norma is also preceded in death by her first husband of 35 years, William A. Nixon; second husband, Paul Metzler and her son, Richard J. Nixon.

She retired from Rendels after 40 years of dedicated service as their Office Manager. An active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Norma also enjoyed reading and traveling with her late husband Paul. 

Due to capacity restrictions currently in place, funeral services will be held privately Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.   

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
