Obituary of Kimberly M. McBride

Kimberly M. McBride, age 62, of Channahon, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Born November 3, 1958 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Frank and Sylvia (Ramirez) Silva.  She was raised in the Bolingbrook and Romeoville area, and was a graduate of Romeoville High School.  Kimberly received her nursing degree and worked as a nurse, and later as an office administrator, for Dr. John Limanowski.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Kimberly was treasured by her family and was adored by her grandchildren as their “Nana.”  

She saw to it that her children never went without. She (and Bill) working extra jobs and sacrificing things for herself so that their family was taken care of. Holidays and family dinners will never be the same because Kimberly always brought the ham.

Surviving are her loving husband, William “Bill” McBride; her devoted children, Julia McBride and William “Bill” (Lauren) Laster; her precious grandchildren, Ava, Willow and Lennon Laster and Alexxis “Lexxi” McBride; her dear mother, Sylvia Silva;

brother, Steve (Sandy) Silva; sister, Shelley (Dave) Fries; and many nieces and nephews. 

Her son, Scott Andrew McBride, passed away one day prior to his mother.  Her father, Frank Silva, also preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Kimberly will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., at Stone Hill Bible Church, 1516 Edgerton Drive, Joliet, IL.  Face masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.  Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
