Obituary of Frank M. Krzich

Age 96, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, in Davenport, IA.  He was born April 26, 1925, in Rockdale, the son of late Frank and Christina (Cigoy) Krzich, he was a lifelong Rockdale/Joliet area resident before retiring to Eldridge, IA in February 2008.  A decorated WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, and a recipient of five Bronze Battle Stars.  Frank retired from Fermilab as a Senior Operations Specialist.  He was formerly employed by Argonne National Laboratory.  Life member of Cantigny Post #367 VFW.  Frank's greatest love in life was spending time with his family, especially those great-grandchildren.

Survived by his loving wife, Shirley M. (Fazio) Krzich of Eldridge, IA; two daughters, Peggy Pearce of Joliet and JoLynn (Al) Pawloski of Long Grove, IA; one son, Frank Kerzic of Bettendorf, IA; five grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Pearce, Kevin Pearce, Alan (Tania) Pearce, Jason (Jennifer) Pawloski, and Amy (Ryan) Lage; seven great-grandchildren, Bob, Allison, Danny, Michael, Lauren, Carson, and Kristen; special cousins, Bill and Verna Nurczyk; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter; five sisters, Lillian Marchio, Olga Brandolino, Edythe Pribish, Alice Bouche, and Sylvia Penca.

Visitation for Frank M. Krzich will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until time of chapel prayers at 11:15 a.m. continuing to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, Joliet, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 Noon.  Enshrinement will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.  For more information, please call (815) 741-5500 or you may visit his Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com where you can share a favorite memory or leave an online condolence.
