Obituary of Nancy Louise Craig

Age 85, of Morris, IL passed away peacefully Friday evening April 30, 2021 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehab Center with family at her side.  She was born February 4, 1936 to the late Ann (Ryan) and Frank Busaytis in Coal City, IL.  Nancy graduated from St. Angela Academy in Morris and attended the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

She married Robert Allan Craig at Immaculate Conception Church June 19, 1955.  She assisted her husband in farming all their married lives in Saratoga Township.  Nancy enjoyed her life on the farm where they raised their six children.  They had numerous pets and raised and showed Arabian horses.

Bob, her husband of nearly 65 years, preceded her in death on March 20, 2020, as well as her parents; sister, Faye Nelson and brother-in-law, Sherwood Nelson.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Robert (Janet) Craig Jr. of Morris, Gary (Ramona) Craig of Minooka, Karen Craig of Minooka, Kim (Terry) Gang of Morris, Joyce (Joe) Turk of Holland, MI and Jeff (Julie) Craig of Morris; her grandchildren, Derek Gang, Nikki (Jon) Walsh, Jennifer Applebee, Bryan (Jessica) Craig, Jaclyn Turk, David Turk, Katie Craig and Neva Morris; five great-grandchildren, Brody Walsh, Kyleigh Walsh, Landon Craig, Karmyn Craig and Liam Applebee. Nancy is also survived by her nieces and nephew.

A graveside committal service will take place Wednesday May 5, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.  For those wishing to attend please enter the cemetery at the easternmost entrance off Old Stage Rd and proceed to the top of the hill until the funeral procession arrives.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
